The Central Penn Business Group on Health has a volunteer Board of Directors composed of member employers, providers, insurers, and brokers. Provider seats include representation from each of the health systems in our market as well as a physician representative and a physician practice manager.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is composed of the officers and the Immediate Past Chair. The Executive Committee has the power to manage and conduct the Business Group on Health's business and affairs when the Board is not in session. The Committee meets as often as necessary and makes a full report of its actions at the next Board meeting.

Professional Development Committee

Responsible for planning all seminars, roundtables, and educational programs. The committee selects pertinent topics and/or themes, secures speakers and assists on at the events with logistics, registration, etc.

Member Services Committee

Responsible for providing an overall positive membership experience. Oversees integrity of current member benefits, plus leading the process of implementing any new programs authorized by the Board of Directors. Assists with recruiting new and retaining existing membership.

Strategic Development Committee

Evaluates major new visions, ideas, functions and programs that the Business Group on Health might consider for the future. Committee is charged to lead investigations then present a finished proposal to the Board of Directors for consideration. Composed of key stakeholders from all categories (employers, insurers, health providers, and brokers) and facilitates development of collaborative solutions to issues affecting healthcare costs.

Transparency Committee

In 2017, The Board of Directors of the Central Penn Business Group on Health made the decision to focus on ways to create cost transparency for all healthcare purchasers. Cost transparency includes a clear understanding of all costs associated with recommended treatments in advance of treatment as well as discussion of treatment options and all costs associated with them. This CPBGH committee works with all stakeholders in our region to accomplish this goal.
